Advantages

The technological product line of CREDO software complex is designed for automated processing of engineering-geological survey data and includes such systems as CREDO GEOLOGY, CREDO GEOMAPS, CREDO GEOSTATISTICS and CREDO GEOCOLUMN.

In the course of using these systems the expert receives documentation (reports and drawings) as well as a full-fledged digital geological framework model which they can later use in designing various objects.

TASKS

  • Maintenance of original working database.
  • Physical, mechanical and chemical soil testing.
  • Allocation of engineering-geologic elements (EGE) according to given parameters.
  • Creating reports on statistical processing of soil characteristics
  • Constructing geological framework models and issuing drawings of arbtrary geological sections and profiles of linear objects
  • Creating drawings of geocolumns and working layout schemes.
  • Creating drawings of engineering geological maps.
  • Processing data from field soil tests.
  • Preparing data for transfer to other systems of CREDO software complex.
  • Use of XML (GeoSciML) format for data exchange on engineering-geological workings.

ORIGINAL WORKING DATA INPUT

Software products of CREDO geological line allow inputting original workings data including lithologic column description, hydrogeological characteristics, testing results etc.
CREDO systems allow modelling vertical engineering-geological workings of unlimited depth which have the widest possible structure of source data and various semantic information.
Workings can be created with an absolute mouth link, simultaneous coupling to the track or without mouth coordinates on horizontal plane. Link method does not affect the availability of working for data input or edit. If necessary, it’s possible to clarify the position of the wells on any linear object stationing.

By using objects from geological classifier the user determines parameters of displaying workings on horizontal plane, in column window and on a section as well as workings data.

PHYSICAL, MECHANICAL AND CHEMICAL SOIL TESTING

Thanks to a flexible geological classifier and customizable user interface, CREDO GEOSTATISTICS allows you to perform various calculations of physical, mechanical and chemical soil properties on the basis of source data from soil laboratory and drill records.  Calculations are performed by the methods which comply with regulatory requirements and regional specific features. Based on the obtained soil properties the system can classify soils in accordance with GOST 25100 and allocate EGEs as defined in user settings.
Source data can both be inputted manually and imported from various sources in the form of XML files.

The system allows you to issue report documentation in the form of various tables, reports and drawings as well as to save data for later use in other systems of CREDO software complex.

CREATING GEOLOGICAL MODELS

CREDO GEOLOGY system allows you to work with various types of source data: earth bores, soil lists, various topographic underlays created in other systems such as CREDO TOPOPLAN, CREDO LINEAR SURVEY, CREDO ROADS, CREDO GENPLAN.

This, depending on the tasks assigned, allows a geologist to prepare different variants of geological structure: plane model for linear features, linear model for highways, 3D geologic model of the site or survey zone.

In CREDO GENPLAN, CREDO LINEAR SURVEY, CREDO TOPOPLAN, CREDO VOLUMES and CREDO ROADSsystems 3D geological model is used for analyzing geological structure of already existing and designed objects, calculating volumes of removed soils and issuance of various drawings including the drawings of longitudinal profiles and cross-sections of various linear objects with data on geolgical structure and flexible configuration of geological information representation on the drawing.

CREATING SECTIONAL DRAWINGS, SECTIONAL AND WORKING SCHEMES AND REPORTS

Using CREDO GEOLOGY you can create drawings of geological sections, schemes of sections and workings as well as reports with geological information.  Engineering-geological workings and sections, topographic underlay as well as trace of a linear object and longitudinal and cross-section profiles of a linear object.

You can configure the appearance of various drawings elements: scale, stratum, lithology, testing, captions etc. Completed drawing can be sent for printing and saved in DXF or native file format. A large kit of materials such as object libraries and templates which provide automated generation and issuance of the main output documents is supplied with the systems of CREDO software complex.

Obtained materials form a single information structure of the facility and are used by related specialists in design process.

CREATING GEOCOLUMN DRAWINGS. PROCESSING DATA FROM FIELD SOIL TESTS.

CREDO GEOCOLUMN is used for creating drawings of geological columns. It can act both as an independent software product and as a part of CREDO GEOLOGY system. Source data for the drawings can be imported to the system from any program of CREDO engineering-geological product line using files of open exchange format.

The system is able to estimate a bearing capacity as well as physical and mechanical properties of soil if dynamic or cone penetration testing data is available.

Fragments of the drawing are generated according to user-defined parameters: column format and heading, content, order, size and individual settings for columns and footer, types of stamps and their data.

For output documents the systems uses predefined templates created in accordance with regulatory requirements. The user can edit existing templates as well as create and save new templates in accordance with the requirements of their organization.

For comprehensive execution of geological report, the column drawing is exported to other office and graphic systems.

CREATING DRAWINGS OF ENGINEERING GEOLOGICAL MAPS

CREDO GEOMAPS is used for designing, editing and producing engineering geological maps for given parameters. Similarly to CREDO GEOCOLUMN and CREDO GEOLOGY systems it can act both as an independent software product and as a part of these systems.

3D geological model created in the system allows you to obtain a geologic structure forecast in any site point within the survey boundaries and is a source of data that is used for creating additional engineering geological materials: testing plans, isohypse, hydroisohypse, maps of the formation roof and  subface of lithologic or stratigraphic stratum.
In addition, CREDO GEOMAPS features 3D-visualization of source engineering and geological workings, geological framework of vertical sections, hidden and additional geological surfaces as well as engineering and geological image of the section.

ADVANTAGES

All systems and programs included in the engineering-geological line of CREDO software complex have flexible settings for data structures, calculation and processing methods, composition and style of text and graphic output documents as well as a large kit of materials that provide automated generation of main output documents. Data exchange between the systems is simple and effective and is carried out through open format files. All CREDO systems work in a single data environment which simplifies the user’s work and eliminates the need for switching between the systems.

The use of geological information prepared with CREDO software complex significantly improves the quality of design solutions.
